Case IH Steiger / Quadtrac DEF Delete Tune

No more hauling DEF to the field or losing a workday to a dosing fault. Flash your 2014–2023 Steiger or Quadtrac from the cab with our Reflash Master handheld and the DEF/SCR system is switched off in software, with no changes to the exhaust. Add our Stage 1 or Stage 2 horsepower tune for up to 20% more power. We ship all across the US and Canada.

EXHAUST No exhaust modification needed These tractors have no DPF, and the SCR catalyst does not restrict exhaust flow enough to matter. Load the file and the tractor is ready to work.

Handheld tuning process

STEP 01OrderWe send out the Reflash Master kit, typically within 1 business day.
STEP 02ReadHook the handheld to the tractor’s diagnostic port and save the factory ECM file.
STEP 03SendSend that file to our team and get the tuned version back in around 2 hours.
STEP 04WriteWrite the new file to the ECM from the cab and head back to the field.

Why delete the DEF on a Case IH Steiger?

DEF

Diesel exhaust fluid

A 4WD tractor pulling heavy tillage burns through DEF fast, and every tote has to be bought, hauled to the field and kept from freezing over winter. Bad fluid or a gelled tank can stop the tractor just as easily as a broken part. Our file removes the DEF requirement entirely, so the tank no longer decides when you can work.

SCR

Selective catalytic reduction

The SCR system relies on NOx sensors, a dosing module, DEF heaters and lines that all have to read correctly at once. When any one of them fails, the Steiger drops into a derate and sits until the part arrives. The tune shuts SCR monitoring off, so those components can no longer pull power or park the tractor in the middle of the season.

Steigers have power to spare

The engines in these tractors respond well to tuning. A Steiger 540 can be brought up to the output of a factory 620, and we have seen roughly another 10% beyond that.

Q2Can the Reflash Master tune my other equipment?+

Yes. The handheld stays with you, and we can unlock it on our server for another machine in your fleet. Reach out and we will get it set up.

Q3Do I need to change the exhaust?+

No. These tractors do not have a DPF, and the SCR catalyst is not restrictive enough to hold back exhaust flow. Once the file is loaded, the exhaust stays exactly as it is.

Q4Will I still need to fill the DEF tank?+

No. The tune switches off DEF dosing and the SCR monitoring, so the tractor runs without fluid and will not derate over DEF level or quality.

Q5Does more horsepower mean more fuel?+

Not by itself. Stage 1 and Stage 2 make the engine more efficient, so power arrives earlier and the engine runs at lower load for the same work. Drive it gently and fuel use can drop, with extra power ready for heavy pulls.

Q6Do you ship across North America?+
