2024+ Case IH Steiger / Quadtrac DEF Delete Tune

Built for the newest Steiger and Quadtrac lineup. Our Reflash Master handheld plugs into the tractor in your own yard and rewrites the engine software so the SCR system stops calling for diesel exhaust fluid, with the exhaust left untouched. Pair it with a Stage 1 or Stage 2 horsepower file and get up to 20% more power from the same engine. We ship all across the US and Canada.

EXHAUST DPF stays in place These tractors do have a DPF, and we recommend leaving it as it is and running the DEF reflash on its own. Nothing gets cut or swapped on the exhaust.

Handheld tuning process

STEP 01OrderPlace your order and the handheld kit ships out, usually the next business day.
STEP 02ReadConnect to the diagnostic port in the cab and pull a copy of the stock engine file.
STEP 03SendUpload the stock file from your computer. Our team returns the modified version in roughly 2 hours.
STEP 04WriteLoad the new software onto the ECM with the same handheld, key off, and you are done.

Why delete the DEF on a 2024+ Steiger?

DEF

Diesel exhaust fluid

On a 600 hp tractor running long days in spring, fluid use adds up quickly, along with the cost of keeping fresh stock on the farm. DEF breaks down in heat, crystallizes in lines, and contaminated batches can trigger a warning halfway through a field. With the requirement removed in software, the fluid level stops being one more thing to watch from the seat.

Selective catalytic reduction

Newer emissions software watches the aftertreatment closely, and a single drifting sensor reading can be enough to cut power. Pumps, injectors, heated lines and NOx sensors are all costly dealer parts with long wait times during the busy season. Our file stops the ECM from monitoring that hardware, so a failing part no longer sends the tractor into reduced power.

Plenty of headroom in the engine

The current Steiger engines have room left in the factory calibration. Our Stage 2 file brings a 595 to roughly the rating of a factory 715, the biggest tractor in the lineup.

Frequently asked questions

Q1Why go with Reimer Tuning for a 2024+ Steiger?+

Steigers are our most requested horsepower application, and we write the software for the current models ourselves. Files are ready in around 2 hours, include a 1 year software warranty, and our support line stays open while you flash.

Q2Can I use the handheld on other machines?+

Yes. You keep the Reflash Master after the job, and we can add another tractor, combine or sprayer to it later. Give us a call to set up the next one.

Q3Should I choose the DEF or the DPF/DEF reflash?+

For now we recommend the DEF reflash on its own. These engines have a DPF, and with it left in place, a mandatory ECM update can at worst switch DEF dosing back on. Ask us before you order the DPF/DEF option.

Q4Does the tractor still use DEF after the tune?+

No. Dosing is turned off and the related warnings are removed, so an empty or contaminated tank will not cause a fault or a power cut.

Q5Will a horsepower tune burn more fuel?+

Usually not. The file improves how efficiently the engine makes power, so it reaches working speed sooner and runs at a lighter load. Many owners see similar or lower fuel use during normal work.

Q6How quickly does my kit ship?+

Most kits leave our shop within 1 business day, to anywhere in the US or Canada. Expedited orders placed after 12 ET ship the following day.
