Case Tier 4 Final Wheel Loader DEF / SCR Delete Tune

From the 521 up to the 1121, Case’s F and G Series wheel loaders, the 621G among them, meet emissions with FPT’s Hi-eSCR system and nothing else: no EGR valve and no particulate filter. That puts every emissions fault on the DEF side. Our Reflash Master handheld connects to the loader and writes a file that switches off DEF dosing and SCR monitoring, and Stage 1 adds about 10% more power on top. We ship all across the US and Canada.

EXHAUST No exhaust parts removed Hi-eSCR engines were built without a DPF or EGR, so there is nothing to cut off. The SCR and oxidation catalyst housing stays on the loader and all the changes happen inside the engine software.

Handheld tuning process

STEP 01OrderSelect the DEF/SCR delete alone or paired with Stage 1. Kits generally go out the next business day.
STEP 02ReadHook the handheld up to the loader’s diagnostic port and copy the original ECM file.
STEP 03SendEmail the original file to us using the client software. Expect your tuned file back within about 2 hours.
STEP 04WriteWrite the tuned file, key off and back on, and the loader is ready for the pile.

Why delete the DEF and SCR on a Case 621G?

DEF

Diesel exhaust fluid

A wheel loader working a gravel pit or a salt yard can burn through DEF quickly, and the fluid has to be bought, stored and kept clean on top of fuel. Dust in the fill neck, a frozen line in January or a batch that has aged in the tote all trigger quality faults, and a 621G that drops into reduced power stops feeding trucks. Taking DEF out of the picture removes the fluid, the heaters and the dosing pump from your service list.

SCR

Selective catalytic reduction

Because Hi-eSCR handles all of the NOx control by itself, Case runs the engine hot and leans hard on the catalyst, the NOx sensors and the doser to stay in spec. A drifting sensor or a crystallized injector is enough to start a countdown to derate, and those parts are slow to source in busy season. Turning off SCR monitoring in the file means a worn sensor is no longer a reason to park the loader.

Q1Which wheel loaders does this kit fit?+

2014 and newer Case F Series (521F, 621F, 721F, 821F, 921F, 1021F, 1121F) and G Series (521G, 621G, 651G, 721G, 821G, 921G, 1021G, 1121G) loaders with FPT Hi-eSCR engines.

Q2Is there an EGR or DPF to remove?+

No. These loaders were built with SCR as the only emissions system, so the tune covers DEF and SCR and no exhaust parts need to come off.

Q3What should I do with the DEF system?+

Empty the DEF tank, then run washer fluid through the tank, pump and lines so leftover fluid cannot crystallize and plug them.

Q4How much power does Stage 1 add?+

Around 10%. A 621G rated at 172 hp gross makes roughly 189 hp with Stage 1, and the rest of the F and G Series gain a similar share. Stage 1 is the only power level for these loaders.

Q5Can I use the handheld on more than one loader?+

Yes. After the first flash the Reflash Master is locked to that loader’s VIN, and the tuned file only runs on that machine. Keep the handheld, and when you want to tune another Case loader, contact us to unlock it. Each extra loader gets its own file as a separate purchase.
