2011–2014 Case IH Puma / Magnum / Maxxum DEF Delete Tune

Built for Tier 4A Magnum, Puma and Maxxum tractors from 2011 to 2014. The Reflash Master handheld plugs in at the diagnostic port and loads software that shuts off urea dosing for good, with no parts to remove from the exhaust. Add a Stage 1 or Stage 2 horsepower file and take a Magnum 340 as high as 435 hp. We ship all across the US and Canada.

Why delete the DEF on a Tier 4A Magnum or Puma?

Diesel exhaust fluid

Case IH moved these tractors to an SCR-only setup, which made DEF essential to keep them running at full power. A decade later, many tanks, pumps and lines are original, and urea that sits through a season leaves deposits behind. Removing the requirement ends the fluid purchases and the repairs that come with an aging system.

Selective catalytic reduction

On a first-generation SCR tractor, worn dosing modules, sticky injectors and drifting NOx sensors are frequent causes of derate. Dealer parts for 2011–2014 models are not cheap, and a fault in the middle of haying or tillage costs more than the part. Our file turns off SCR monitoring so the ECM stops reacting to that hardware.

The rating lives in the software

Several Magnum ratings share the same engine, and the factory calibration sets the horsepower each one makes. Our Stage 2 file takes a Tier 4A Magnum 340 from 340 hp to as much as 435 hp.

Q1Why use Reimer Tuning on a Tier 4A Magnum or Puma?+

Our team has written Tier 4A Case IH tractor files since 2014, so we know these ECMs well. Each file comes back in about 2 hours, carries a 1 year software warranty, and our techs are available by phone during the flash.

Q2Does the exhaust need any changes?+

None at all. Tier 4A Magnum, Puma and Maxxum tractors have no DPF, and the SCR unit can stay installed without restricting the engine.

Q3Do I still need to buy DEF?+

No. After the reflash, the ECM stops dosing and stops checking the tank, so an empty tank will not set a code or reduce power.

Q4Can the handheld tune my other equipment?+

Yes. The Reflash Master locks to the VIN of each machine it tunes, and the handheld stays with you. Contact us and we will reset it for your next tractor.

Q5Does more horsepower mean higher fuel use?+

Not by default. The file helps the engine make power more efficiently, so normal work takes less effort. Fuel use usually stays level or improves unless you are pulling hard all day.

Q6When will my kit arrive?+

Kits ship within 1 business day in most cases, anywhere in the US or Canada. Expedited orders placed after 12 ET leave the next day.
