Case IH Sprayer DEF Delete Tune

When the spray window opens, a sprayer has to be ready to roll, and a DEF fault or SCR derate can take it out of the field. Our Reflash Master handheld turns off the DEF/SCR system on 2014 - Present Patriot, Titan and Trident machines through the diagnostic port, with no exhaust work. Pair it with a horsepower tune for up to 20% more power on hills and in soft ground. We ship all across the US and Canada.

Handheld tuning process

STEP 02ReadPlug the device into the sprayer’s diagnostic connector and pull a copy of the stock engine file.
STEP 03SendUpload the stock file from a laptop or PC. We build your custom file and send it back in roughly 2 hours.
STEP 04WriteLoad the tuned file onto the ECM, start the engine and the sprayer is ready for the next pass.

Why delete the DEF on a Case IH sprayer?

DEF

Diesel exhaust fluid

Sprayers already haul water, chemical and diesel, and DEF adds one more fluid to source, store and pour. It is mostly water, so it can freeze in a cold shed and split a tank or line, and stored jugs lose quality in summer heat. Many sprayers sit between seasons, which is when DEF tends to crystallize in the pump and lines. Removing it means one less tank to manage on every fill.

SCR

Selective catalytic reduction

A sprayer runs fast across rough fields, and the SCR system takes that pounding. The doser, NOx sensors, heated lines and supply module are all watched by the ECM, so a single failed sensor or plugged injector can trigger a derate in the middle of a timed application. With SCR monitoring turned off in the calibration, those parts can no longer take the machine out of service.

One kit across three sprayer lines

This reflash covers Case IH’s self-propelled range from 2014 on: the Patriot sprayers, the Titan floaters and the Trident combination applicator. Each one gets a custom file written for its own engine and rating, so the DEF delete and power gains match the machine you run.

Q2Does the exhaust have to come off?+

No. These sprayers do not have a DPF, and the SCR catalyst can stay where it is. The only change is the software on the engine controller.

Q3What should I do with the DEF tank?+

Once the tuned file is loaded, the engine no longer uses DEF. We recommend draining the tank and rinsing the system with washer fluid so leftover fluid does not crystallize.

Q4Will the handheld work on my other equipment?+

Yes. The Reflash Master stays with you after purchase. Call us and we can license it for another sprayer, tractor or combine in your fleet.

Q5Does more horsepower mean more fuel?+

Not by default. The tuned engine makes its power sooner, so it works less hard at your normal spray speed. It only burns extra fuel when you actually use the extra power.

Q6When will my kit ship?+

We ship most kits the next business day to the US and Canada. Expedited orders received after 12 PM ET ship the following day.
