Takeuchi TL12 R2/V2 DPF, EGR & DEF Delete Tune

Avoid unnecessary downtime and keep your machine working, not sitting in the shop. We bench flash the ECM and ACM on your 2017–present Takeuchi TL12 R2/V2 to switch off the EGR, DPF and DEF/SCR systems for good, with an optional 10% horsepower tune to 122 hp. We ship all across the US and Canada.

Why delete the DPF, EGR and DEF on a Takeuchi TL12?

DPF

Diesel particulate filter

Soot builds up in the DPF until the machine forces a regen, sending extra fuel into the exhaust to burn it off. That means idle time on the job, and eventually a filter that has to be cleaned or replaced. Take it out and the engine exhales without restriction.

EGR

Exhaust gas recirculation

The EGR valve feeds exhaust gas back into the engine. Carbon builds up until the valve sticks or plugs, which leads to warning lights, lost power and limp mode. Our kit includes an EGR blocker plate and OEM gasket to close it off for good.

DEF

Diesel exhaust fluid / SCR

Needs constant fluid top-ups and depends on sensors that can fault and derate the machine. The reflash shuts it off so DEF is no longer needed.

Takeuchi TL12 for mulching and forestry

Long days on a mulching head or brush cutter push the TL12’s aftertreatment system to its limit. For forestry work, this is the setup we recommend:

Q1Why choose a Reimer Tuning reflash for my Takeuchi TL12?+

The TL12 R2/V2 runs the same engine as the Kubota SVL95. We bought our own SVL95 and built this file in house before bringing it to market, and helped develop the protocol needed to reflash these machines.

Q2Will I have warning lights after the reflash?+

No. Once our file is installed there are no emissions warning lights on the dash, and the machine will not go into regen.

Q3My aftertreatment harness is damaged. Does it need to be repaired?+

No. Our file shuts off the whole aftertreatment harness, so the CAN bus runs correctly without it. No resistors are needed, and the sensors do not have to stay plugged in.

Q4Can you bypass a DPF filter?+

Yes. All aftertreatment sensors are turned off, so the DPF can be removed completely. Our DPF/SCR straight pipe replaces both canisters. Choose it above (piping is not sold separately).

Q5Will the horsepower tune increase fuel use?+

Our Stage 1 tune raises output 10% to 122 hp with a linear map, so power comes in sooner. Run it at lighter load and you can save fuel, with the extra power there when the job needs it.
