Kubota M5 DPF, EGR & DEF Delete Tune

Keep your M5 in the field through baling and haying season instead of waiting on regens and DEF faults. Send us the ECM and ACM, and we bench flash both to shut off the EGR, DPF and DEF/SCR. Stage 2 takes the M5-111 to 127 hp. We ship all across the US and Canada.

Why delete the DPF, EGR and DEF on a Kubota M5?

DPF

Diesel particulate filter

Long hours at steady PTO load still leave the M5 filter packed with soot, and the tractor has to stop or slow down to burn it out with extra fuel. Skip enough regens and the canister needs pulling for a cleaning or a new filter. Take the DPF off and the exhaust runs open.

EGR

Exhaust gas recirculation

The M5 sends a share of its exhaust back through the intake, and the carbon in it gums up the valve and runners over time. A sticking valve means warning lights and a tractor that pulls weak. Our file turns it off, and the blocker plate with OEM gasket seals the port.

DEF

Diesel exhaust fluid / SCR

A DEF tank to refill between jobs, plus a dosing pump, heated lines and NOx sensors that can each trigger a power cut mid-field. The reflash shuts the SCR down, so the tractor runs without fluid.

Hay season leaves no room for a tractor parked mid-regen. Here is how the M5 tune helps when the window is short:

Frequently asked questions

Q1My aftertreatment harness is damaged. Do I need to repair it?+

No. The M5 file switches off the whole aftertreatment harness, so the CAN bus runs fine without it. No resistors are needed, and none of the sensors have to stay connected.

Q2Should I hollow out the DPF or straight pipe it?+

Both work with our file. Hollowing out the canister keeps the stock appearance, while a straight pipe removes the canisters entirely. Add the DPF/SCR Straight Pipe option above if you want piping; it is not sold on its own.

Q3Will a horsepower tune burn more fuel on my M5?+

The added fuelling is spread evenly through the rev range, so the M5 reaches working power at a lower throttle. On a baler or mower at normal load, most owners use the same fuel or less, and the extra power is there for hills and heavy windrows.

Q4Do you ship to the United States and Canada?+
