Why delete the DEF on a Case skid steer?

DEF

Diesel exhaust fluid

DEF is the main emissions control on these Case machines, so the tank has to stay full or the machine derates. The fluid is mostly water, which means it can freeze and crack the tank in winter, and it crystallizes if it sits. The reflash shuts the system off so you never buy or fill DEF again.

SCR

Selective catalytic reduction

The SCR is where DEF gets dosed into the exhaust, and its pump, injector and NOx sensors are common failure points. Our file turns those readings off. The catalyst itself is not restrictive, so it can stay on the machine.

Q2Can I use the handheld again later?+

Yes, the Reflash Master is yours to keep, and it can be unlocked through our server if you have another piece of equipment to tune. Contact us and we will walk you through the process.

Q3Do I need to modify the exhaust?+

No. These machines have no DPF, the EGR is shut off in the tune, and the SCR catalyst is not restrictive enough to hold back exhaust flow. Once the file is loaded the machine is ready to work. Drain and rinse the DEF system with water so old fluid does not crystallize.

Q4My machine shows a 0x3712 or 0x3000 error when I try to take a read. What should I do?+

Some models use a dead man switch, and the CAN bus stays offline unless you are seated in the operator's chair or have the safety bar down. Sit in the seat or lower the bar, then try the read again.

Q5Will the horsepower tune increase fuel use?+

Our Stage 1 tune raises output 10% with a linear map, so power arrives sooner. Run it at a lighter load and you can save fuel, with the extra power there when the job needs it.

Q6Do you ship to the United States and Canada?+

Yes. We ship the Reflash Master kit across Canada and the US, usually within 1 business day if overnight shipping is selected.
