Keep the ECM in the machine. We connect to your Cummins engine over TeamViewer through a diagnostic adapter and flash it live, turning off the EGR, DPF and DEF/SCR and adding up to 20% more horsepower. We ship all across the US and Canada.

Why delete the EGR, DPF and DEF on a Cummins engine?

EGR

Exhaust gas recirculation

The EGR cooler and valve take a share of hot exhaust and feed it back into the charge air. On a high-hour Cummins that stream leaves carbon on the valve and can crack or plug the cooler, bringing derates and coolant loss. Our file switches the EGR off.

DPF

Diesel particulate filter

Every load of soot the filter collects has to be burned out with extra fuel, often while the machine is parked or held back. A filter that loads faster than it cleans ends up off the machine for service. With the DPF turned off, backpressure drops and regens stop.

DEF

Diesel exhaust fluid / SCR

The SCR system needs a steady supply of fluid plus a working pump, heater lines and NOx sensors. When any of them faults, the engine cuts power until it is fixed. The tune shuts the SCR down, so there is no DEF tank to keep full.

Q1What do I need for a remote tune?+

A Windows laptop with TeamViewer installed, a strong internet connection, and a diagnostic adapter. Keep the machine battery charged or hook up a charger, and leave the key on with the engine off while we flash.

Q2Why do you need a photo of the engine data plate?+

Cummins builds many ratings on the same engine family. The data plate gives us the engine serial number and rating, so we can prepare the correct file before your session starts.

Q3Do I need to buy the adapter?+

Only if you do not already own one. Select Tooling Required above and we ship a diagnostic adapter with your order. If you already have a Nexiq USB-Link or a DPA5 adapter, either one works. Choose No Tool.

Q4What does VGT removal do?+

A variable geometry turbo relies on an actuator that can stick or fail. We can tune the turbo to run static, or set the file up for a swap to a fixed geometry turbo.

Q5Does more horsepower mean more fuel burned?+

Not on a typical day. The extra fuelling comes in smoothly across the rev range, so the engine reaches working power at lower load. Most owners see similar or better fuel use, with the added power ready for heavy pulls.

Q6Do you ship to the United States and Canada?+

Yes. The diagnostic adapter ships from Canada, usually within 1 business day, and the tune itself is done remotely wherever your machine is.
